This year JBF is observing World Zoonoses Day in the midst of the defining global health crisis of our time. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the entire world’s focus has shifted to an infectious zoonotic disease. It is really important to understand about zoonotic diseases as it is clear now that this topic impacts our daily lives more than we think it does. JBF started a social media campaign since the past week to spread awareness about zoonotic diseases. Keeping in mind about the current pandemic and social distancing, JBF could not organize any social gathering awareness event this year.
We have been neglecting zoonotic diseases since long and the present pandemic seems to be a result of this. Today it is COVID-19, tomorrow it can be rabies.
Let’s take zoonotic diseases more seriously!
