A successful two days event by JBF on the occasion of World Rabies Day, 2016.
Following the theme for 10th World Rabies Day, 2016 — Rabies: Educate, Vaccinate and Eliminate, JBF had organised several events, like Pre-Awareness Campaign on 27th September, 2016, and Mobile Awareness Drive, awareness talk in radio (Ajir Puwa) and Free Health Check-Up and Vaccination for pets.
With the aim of spreading awareness and alerting the people about the disease of Rabies, JBF had first initiated a pre-event Awareness campaign on 27th September at 11hrs at Beltola Tiniali, Guwahati, Assam in association with Pedigree. It encouraged a peaceful activity of displaying placards with rabies prevention messages. Teachers and students of International School [Cambridge] Guwahati has participated in the event.
JBF continued its awareness campaign and organised the mobile awareness drive on 28th September. Starting from GMC office, the JBF vehicle passed through the city of Guwahati, displaying messages along with announcements on prevention of rabies. The journey was flagged of by Honourable Mayor at 11.30hrs.
The awareness drive was accompanied with Free Health Check-Up and anti-rabies Vaccination for pets the same day at at Hiyaa’s (Clinical and Surgical centre for pets), Beltola Tiniali, Guwahati. The event took place for the entire day starting from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and it was supported by Pedigree and Hiyaa’s (Clinic and Surgical Centre for pets).
Thus, JBF with the aim of making a rabies free society, executed events to educate people and vaccinate pets to avoid Rabies. The organization further hopes for support and contribution from people as well as government to finally eliminate rabies, and growing up a rabies-free society.
