A shocking yet tragic incident happened at JBF Centre today. Two boys visited the centre with these 3 kittens asking to keep them at the centre itself. Responding to that the team provided them the information that the centre is a functional space of our initiative ‘ABC-ARV’ specially designed for stray dogs only, it’s not a shelter or rescue home neither safe for them. But to the utmost shock the boys left the kittens there and fled.
Now, the most inconvenient situation arises here is the safety of the kittens as the centre is already occupied by the stray dogs picked up for ABC-ARV.
The team is in total confusion what to do as there is no cattery in Guwahati, only few animal lovers keep kittens/cat and whom we contacted are already overburdened.
How heartless and irresponsible a person can be to do such a thing. If you really want to help these innocent kittens then you should take them to somewhere safe where they at least don’t have life threat. JBF is an animal welfare organization that does not mean that we are equipped with everything and have enough resources to do everything related to animal welfare.
If dumping innocent puppies or kittens somewhere unsafe means animal welfare to you (so called animal lovers) then we must say, you and we are in total different path which we hope not to cross ever.
