TAKING A LOOK BACK: THE BIGGEST ANTI-RABIES VACCINATION PROGRAM organized by JBF (JUST BE FRIENDLY)
JBF’s mission to eradicate Rabies and march towards Stray Population Management drives the campaigns the organization undertakes on important occasions around the year.
On the World Zoonoses Day 2021, JBF organized THE BIGGEST ANTI-RABIES VACCINATION PROGRAM ACROSS ASSAM with several stumbling blocks ahead of how such a large-scale event would have been possible keeping in mind the prevailing pandemic restrictions and protocols. Observing the importance to reach the masses of the places, a plan was delivered to indulge local associations and local authorities for aid.
As planned, in the case of Duliajan, the local associations, JIVA (Justice in Valuing Animals) and Pet Home Clinic were contacted.
By doing a commendable job of vaccinating the animals throughout the entire day, the collaborative effort was successful in getting numerous animals vaccinated.
The program ended with raising the community awareness of the masses towards the importance of eradication of Rabies, a fatal Zoonotic disease.
