On 19th of July the JBF team participated in the stakeholder consultation meeting for the Amrit Brikkha Andolan (boosting the tree economy of Assam). The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam has called upon the State for a massive tree plantation drive undertaken to boost the tree economy. They seek support from NGOs on the issue so as to act as a unit of this massive mass movement and plan to sensitise them. Shri Chandra Mohan Patowary, Hon’ble Minister For Environment and Forest Assam presided over the meeting as the Chief Guests.
