Even though currently JBF team is completely focused and dedicated towards conducting ABC-ARV (Animal Birth Control and Anti Rabies Vaccination) of street dogs at Guwahati, Assam, still today on 10th Jan 2020, JBF team has taken up a very serious rescue case(pregnant street dog) from a nearby area of Elora Marriage Hall, Boragaon, Guwahati. The rescued pregnant dog was in severe labour pain since last night and was not able to give birth to her puppies. At the end the little souls died inside their mother’s belly which also left the mother dog unconscious. Just after receiving the information team JBF rushed to the spot to provide every possible help to the poor dog. Immediately the team members took the dog to IPD, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara. The IPD referred the case to the Surgery dept, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara. And at present this poor dog is undergoing major surgery. And after the completion of the surgery, she will also need proper care at the hospital for one week at least. JBF is conducting the complete procedure of treatment on its own.
JBF is always ready to take up such cases and help the needy. But the important point arises here is that JBF team contains a very minimal number of members and it is not practically possible for JBF to carry on every responsibility on its own. If any interested kind-hearted person comes forward to facilitate JBF with financial aid and a proper animal transporting Van then JBF will be more than grateful and ready to provide help to the needy.
