JBF (INDIA) TRUST popularly known as JBF (Just Be Friendly), in association with WAMUL and District Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Nagaon, provided Post Flood Veterinary Support to the flood affected domesticated animals at Tetelisora, Niznarikoli, Kawaimari and Kalaikhowa, five fringe area villages of Kampur town, district Nagaon, Assam. It was a four day project from 25th May – 28th May, 2022 which included not only veterinary support but also awareness drive to make the people of the areas aware about the precautions and measures to take for the animals to help them during this situation.
Treatment camp for suffering animals were set up and distribution of medicine were provided free of cost during this drive. Around 1756 number of flood affected animals and were able to reach and spread awareness amongst 486 people of the five villages which were covered during the drive.
Dr Sashanka Sekhar Dutta, Chief Functionary of JBF informed that the team JBF has been helping the flood affected animals since 2012 and is determined to continue to help these innocent animals till every possible extend in coming days as well.
