It’s been only 2 day of Lockdown at Guwahati and already a story of animal and pet owner harassment came out!
As the article rightfully mentioned it has become a big challenge for the animal lover and pet owners who are under home quarantine or whose compound has been declared as containment zone to manage their pets.
As per the article the neighbours of the owners house(which is inside containment zone) have accused the poor dog of having and spreading COVID-19. Also the neighbours have abused people who came to deliver medicines to the house.
This is only just a single story that came up.
We are sure that there are many more of such incidents are happening now.
These are certain prime cause for which Veterinary Services should be included in the essential activities.
Raise your voice as much as you can so that the authority can feel the pain of the innocent!
