The condition of animals that reside in temple premises in India is very poor. Their healthcare is not looked after by temple authorities and often suffer from various diseases and ailments. One such temple is the famous Kamakhya temple in Guwahati.
Upon receiving constant complaints about the medical condition of the animals inside the temple being very poor, JBF’s team visited the temple on the 26th of September to check on the animals. The team found 5 goats suffering from severe skin disease which led to other medical problems. The goats were taken from the temple for intensive medical treatment at their centre by JBF. They are currently under JBF’s care and treatment and will be released once they totally recover and are fit to independently move around.
