Today at around 2 pm JBF( Just Be Friendly) received terrifying information from Ms Sushmita Dutta, regarding the goats residing at Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati, Assam. As per the information she gave, the goats, residing at the premises of the great Kamakhya Temple, are in complete distressed condition with severe drooling and weakness which also lead to the death of one amongst them in front of Ms Dutta.
JBF team including a vet has hurried to the spot just after receiving the information while they were already engaged with their regular initiative of ABC-ARV of street dogs of Guwahati. The team took the impromptu action; they paused the ongoing activities and rushed to Kamakhya Temple to treat the goats in pain.
JBF team along with the professional vet has treated around 15 diseased goats with all the necessary vet care. According to the vet, the goats were having high fever and severe diarrhoea and weakness.
JBF is grateful to Ms Susmita Dutta and everyone for informing JBF regarding the matter and also to help the team throughout the duration of treatment.
JBF strongly feels that the goats residing at the campus of Kamakhya Temple are in urgent need of serious health treatment and proper care.
JBF strongly believes that every time there will not be an animal lover like Ms Susmita Dutta available to inform JBF or JBF to help out the emergency situations. Rather it will be better to take regular health treatments and proper care of these goats to avoid such severe health issues in this very famous religious place.
