16th of September was another horrifying day for humanity. 31 dogs that were being transported for Dog Meat Trade were found abandoned in Bokakhat by the police. The traffickers left the dogs on the road as the vehicle had broken down. The police however did not know as to what they could do with that many dogs. JBF got to Bokakhat as soon as they learnt about the incident and rescued the dogs from Bokakhat police station.
Assam is witnessing an increase in illegal dog meat trade. JBF is doing all it can to fight against this inhumane activity being carried out.
