A meeting was held on this day at the Veterinary College to mark theoccasion of the launch of the Animal Rabies Diagnosis Laboratory. Dr.Jyoti Dutta was the keynote speaker at the event, addressing the growingconcerns of animal bite cases and highlighting how the new laboratory, incollaboration with satellite support, will enhance diagnostic capabilities inthe future.

Dr. Dutta also spoke about the existing grey areas in the work process thatneed immediate attention. She emphasized the importance of takingnecessary actions to improve these areas for future reference. Additionally,she encouraged everyone to work together enthusiastically, hand in hand,with precise information and knowledge, to ensure the success of thelaboratory and its initiatives.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Dr. Bibeka NandaSaikia, Dean of the Veterinary College of Science, AAU, Khanapara; AnilChandra Deori, Director of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Governmentof Assam; and Dr. Balaji Chandrashekar, founder of WVS.

Dr. Saikia spoke about the budget allocation and emphasized the areaswhere efficient work can be conducted to improve services. Following this,Dr. Balaji Chandrashekar delivered an inspiring speech, motivating theattendees to work towards bettering the veterinary services. Dr. Jyoti Duttaconcluded the meeting with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to allthose involved in the launch and reinforcing the importance of the newlaboratory for animal health diagnostics.
