Today, an incidence of Dog bite has come into light at Silpukhuri locality of Guwahati city, Assam. Two Dogs have bitten around ten persons within two days at the same location.
Initially, GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) got informed regarding the matter. As GMC doesn’t have the required facilities or ‘Dog Squad’ hence they contacted JBF to take the necessary action. Once after getting the information from GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) JBF team immediately rushed out to the spot to pick the dogs up.
JBF team members had to struggle so hard to find the dogs and pick them up. Not only the situational hindrances but manual difficulties have also occurred during pick up. Several animal lovers or dog feeders tried to mislead the team and hide the dogs. But with the help of certain responsible locals JBF team managed to find both the dogs and pick them up.
JBF is always ready to provide every possible help and support they can. Being a not for profit organisation it is not practically possible for JBF to cover each and every aspect of the vast sphere of Animal Welfare but the government/administration can do so if they are serious in to the matter.
To handle any dog-related cases; there should be a proper ‘Dog Squad’ with authorities, who will be ready to take impromptu actions whenever required.
