Increased stray cat population among the streets of Guwahati is another rising problem. While fair work is being done for dogs, the welfare of stray cats remains a less priority. Due to traditional stereotypes, and negative attitudes towards their nature, cats are one of the ignored animals when it comes to animal welfare.
At times like these, the contribution from HAI will not only help JBF to cater, seize, and treat feral cats but also will be resourceful in the planning of JBF’s upcoming initiatives of JIRAW, Northeast’s first of its kind
