As curfew restrictions are imposed in all the major areas of Guwahati, and the business and the markets are open for a short duration of the day, the strays suffer because of a shortage of food. These innocent souls who sustained themselves off the scrapes from the corner food stalls and meat shops are not getting enough food for their survival. Freshwater is still a distant dream.
We know all of us are going through a hard time right now. And it is becoming harder day after day. But we can and we will tackle this situation if we act together.
Looking at the plight of the strays, JBF has started a campaign called ‘CURFEW CHAMPIONS FOR ANIMALS’. The amazing part of this is that; through a small activity, even you can be a part of this campaign. You just need to put a bowl of fresh water and some amount of food JUST OUTSIDE YOUR RESIDENTIAL COMPOUND/GATE. This small step will help your nearby strays to survive in this difficult time along with us, humans.
