JBF is attempting to raise public awareness of the illicit dog meat trade by highlighting how it has been growing in Assam recently. In Assam’s Bokakhat area, where JBF was able to successfully rescue 5 canines, a case of meat trading was recently recorded. The District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Golaghat, and JBF are working together to organise an awareness drive with the goal of raising awareness about this issue. Additionally, the entire administration is in favour of the drive. However, given the size of the problem, we can’t tackle it on our own. We can accomplish more and create a world that is safe for animals with your kind assistance and collaboration.
