JBF today started performing Animal Birth Control Surgery of the companion pets in Mounglang Monastery, Ledo, Assam in collaboration with Help Animals India. Surgeries will continue for two day long followed by post-surgical management.
JBF have been doing the sterilization & vaccination camp at Monastery for the wellness of the pets in the community. Increasing in dog population causes increase in dog bites, infightings for food, mating when the female dogs in heat, random killing of rabid dog creating a menace. Sterilization & vaccination helps this pet live a longer and healthier life not only protected from Rabies but also helps in removal of aggressive behaviour in males and unwanted puppies in females including prevention from life-threatening diseases like testicular, uterine or breast cancer.
