JBF INDIA TRUST observed World Zoonoses Day at Gauhati Press Club. In the event, Dr. Parag Jyoti Deka was conferred with Animal Welfare Field Veterinarian Award and Dr. Chandamita Das was conferred with Young Animal Rescuer Award. Some renowned veterinary professionals were present in the event who put forward their words regarding the importance of World Zoonoses Day. Dr. Devasish Sharma, Commissioner of Guwahati Municipal Corporation presented an animal ambulance to team JBF which will help the team in upcoming rescue operations and pick-ups for Animal Birth Control. Moreover, JBF also organized free Anti-Rabies Vaccination drives in different places. Addition to the programme, Dr, Sashanka Sehkar Dutta said this recognition and award shall continue from this year onwards to felicitate the volunteers for their contributions and dedication to the community and work towards Rabies Free Society.
