On 14th February, the Valentine’s Day JBF continued to extend its love and care for dogs. We received a call from an animal lover hailing from Ulubari, Guwahati. She reported that the dog was injured and lying helplessly. The veterinary team of JBF rushed to the spot and found the dog suffering from canine distemper. Though team JBF was with the intension to have it’s on the spot treatment, but looking at its helpless condition found no other but only to bring it to their center. The dog is under treatment now.

Another call from Bhangagarh was received on 15th February 2017 stating about the suffering of a stray dog. With the intension to have it’s on the spot treatment, JBF team reached the spot and found the dog being weak and debilitated. Its condition was not so well and JBF got it in almost its last stage. There was less chance of its recovery. The pathetic condition and team’s care and compassion compelled them to take the dog to JBF centre once again and is still undergoing treatment there. JBF is trying its best to get it better.

With the limited support we receive, JBF mainly goes for accidental rescues and birth control operation of stray dogs. Further we have to undertake only on the spot treatments since we don’t have shelter facilities. But sometimes we do need to carry them and manage shelters for them absolutely for their ill health. This is only our care and concern for dogs. But this is not the permanent solution. So what can we do in situation like this with the limited resources! And on the other hand how could you help us in this situation?

We are helpless to provide shelter to all the diseased animals that we attain and have their on the spot treatment. So we need solution…
