JBF since 2007 serving for the animals, basically the stray dogs in Guwahati. Till then, with the minute donation that it received, served its best with the only aim to have a society that enables better life for animals and creates better living condition with human.
Almost every day, JBF attends accidental case of stray dogs at its best, but sometimes it fails to attain all the rescues because of time and financial constrain. This is indeed a very pathetic situation for the stray dogs, for which JBF promotes the need of their population control and urges people as well the authority to be attentive towards the issue. Looking at the sufferings of the stray dogs, JBF try not to let the stray dog suffer out of accident. But lack of fund or support cum donation from the community is what pulling JBF behind in performing their activities.
This time it was not dog but a goat which was the victim of a road accident. On 14th December 2016, some concerned people found an injured goat at Basistha Chariali, Guwahati. It was 9 o’clock at night when the people somehow managed to call in the personal number of the Managing Trustee of JBF, as the helpline was switched off being not within the official timing.
Accidental rescue of a goat, that too at night when the experts and animal handlers were not on duty, is really a challenging task. But having no other solution, Dr Sashanka Sekhar Dutta, Managing Trustee in the verge of animal welfare activity, managed its team to visit the place and attain the case. As per the planning, the team went there, and had it’s on the spot treatment, and thus the creature was treated. JBF shows its gratitude to the youths who showed their concern for the innocent suffering creature.
JBF on its part will be doing its duty, but being human it is their responsibility too to be humane towards the animal and help JBF, thereby the society to have a better co-existing future.
