It was 28th February 2017, there was a call for rescue of a stray dog in Guwahati. JBF team reached the spot for treatment and found the dog being aggressiveness, unable to drink water and having excessive salivation, as also stated by the concerned person who informed about the matter. The vets of JBF suspected the dog of having rabies based on the above symptoms. Therefore, the team took it to their centre for further confirmation, to which the dog was confirmed to be the victim of rabies and it was in its last stage. After few hours of bringing to the centre the dog had its natural death.

Rabies is a deadly disease and it is easily transferable to other dogs, animals and even human from the bite of a rabid dog. An existence with the rabid dog in society is highly risky. The only and best solution is to control their population and providing anti-rabies vaccination. Thus simple step can save many lives.

JBF is technically sound enough to execute the program and establish a rabies free society. But they need your support and kind consideration.
