Department of Social Work, Women’s College, Shillong, as a part of their educational tour to Guwahati reached JBF (INDIA) TRUST. On 6th March 2017, the team of Women’s College consisting of 33 BSW 2nd Year students and 2 faculty members visited JBF. Their main objective of visiting JBF was to have an idea of animal welfare issues and the working nature of the JBF.
The students were given a brief description of JBF, which was followed by interactive session on their queries. The students further were introduced to the working process of JBF and they too had a look of the pickup van, the shelter and the operation theatre.
The team found the organizational activity interesting and they even appreciated the initiative of JBF. Hopefully this will motivate the students to shape their academic and professional life in the field of social work.
