According to Assam State Disaster management report 15 August 2017, 1.7 million animals are suffering in pain. Hundreds have already washed away and other are fighting against hunger, disease and being homeless.
The condition is so painful that, JBF had to start the Flood-Relief Veterinary Support in Kotoki Chuburi Gaon, Sonitpur District tomorrow i.e. 25th August 2017. We will continue the Veterinary Support to other flood affected area of Assam, India.
JBF being a small animal welfare organization with limited resources and a limited fund is facing huge financial crises to continue our support to all the flood affected area.
Team JBF will reach Sonitpur by tomorrow and start the Flood-Relief Veterinary Support by distributing feeds, medicines and treating diseased animals.
Flood has always been a greatest natural disaster in Assam affecting each and every life, but this year the condition is worse and much more dangerous. Again and again, heavy rain is putting millions of lives at risk and each time we become helpless to support the animal.
The rain has decreased to some extent but the effect of heavy flood due to change in weather is much more dangerous. The harmful disease is spreading at high speed, Vet also said that there is a great chance of spreading the disease from animals to human.
