Connecting with the occasion of Golden Jubilee anniversary in Assam Agricultural University and World Rabies Day on 28 September, 2018, a 7 day long programme will be organized from 22 September, 2018 to 28 September, 2018 in collaboration with Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science, Joyhing and JBF (Just Be Friendly), a social sector organization working for welfare of animals. Honorable Vice chancellor off Assam Agricultural University, Dr. Kamal Malla Bujarbaruah will inaugurate the programme on 22 Septem ber, 2018.
As a part of the programme, awareness camps regarding the control and prevention of deadly disease rabies will be held in nearby government, no n-government schools of Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science and among the general people as well. Also, free vaccination will be provided to the street dogs, domestic dogs and cats and sterilization camp for dogs will be organized.
