Flood in Assam every year during this season has a heartbreaking effect on the animals but this year the condition turned worse and most dangerous affecting millions of animals again and again.
The real struggle has now begun when the flood level has decreased to some extent but due to the change in the weather, various diseases are spreading at a high speed. According to the doctors, there is a high chance of spreading the disease to a human being if proper veterinary support is not provided.
According to Assam State Disaster Management report 15th August 2017, more than 1.7 million animals are affected by the flood. The report also says that hundreds are already washed away. Rest of the affected animals are struggling between hunger, life and death.
The condition is so painful that without your help we cannot move a single step toward our mission to help the suffering animals and to provide veterinary support.
JBF has planned the second phase of ‘Flood Relief Veterinary Support 2017’ in flood-affected area of Assam as earliest since we are not able to proceed our plan due to financial crises
