World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June of every year. Its significance is to aware people to protect our environment. Each year there is new theme for the day and a host country, this year (2017) theme is ‘Connecting People to Nature – in the city and on the land, from the poles to the equator’. The host nation is Canada. Every year people pledge to save the environment with a promise to contribute their bit to the environment.
We should not ignore this fact that if we are not taking care of the stray animals around, it will automatically damage the environment. The stray animals suffer from different types of diseases which infects the area as well. Until and unless we are aware about the stray animals and provide them a healthy environment, we cannot expect the development of the city. To prevent such cases Animal Birth Control operations are very important along with the Vaccination. JBF is conducting ABC operation for this purpose. This will reduce the population of the stray dogs resulting in a better environment for us. Animal welfare and environment goes hand in hand. Let’s pledge this year to help stray animals in every way possible and step forward for the needed ones. For better living keep your environment healthy not just for yourself but for the other beings around you too.
